Kundalini Yoga and Meditation techniques can greatly alleviate systemic tension, reduce stress, soothe and strengthen our nervous system, and calm and elevate our mind to our neutral ‘peace’ channel. Meditative breathing takes advantage of the link between our breath, nervous system and mind. Stretching tranquilizes the nervous system and produces mental and physical well-being.
Kundalini yoga focuses specifically upon bringing flexibility to the spine and encouraging the spinal fluid to flow. The spine is the “superhighway” of energy that connects the nerves, the chakras, the vital meridians and circulates these magnetic life forces throughout the body.
Kundalini yoga is a form of yoga that involves chanting, singing, breathing exercises, and repetitive poses. Its purpose is to activate your Kundalini energy, or shakti. This is a spiritual energy that's said to be located at the base of your spine.
